Confessions of an Impatient New Mom & How to Cope

She peeled off her diaper, then left a poop trail from one end of the carpet to the other. She’s never had to look at her own poop before…and she’s at […]

I will always be your safe place my sweet girl ❤️ • I plan on wearing this little babe as long as I possibly can. Plus it’s the only way I get anything done around here 😂💁🏼 How long do you guys plan on wearing your babies or how long did you end up wearing them??
Our marriage isn’t perfect. We have moments of selfishness, miscommunication and impatience. We still have so much to learn about each other, and now another little human that’s added to the mix. The struggles of everyday life sometimes can get to us. I am not perfect and my husband is not perfect. But our love is perfect. There is no one else I’d rather go through this journey of learning, love and laughter with. Happy Valentine’s Day today and every day babe 💘 • • P.S if you’re staying in tonight and want some last minute stay-at-home date night ideas check out the new blog post in my bio! 😁😘
Happy love day eve from miss Hadleigh Jean 💘#EGspring19
More than 72 thousand people died from drug overdose in the US last year. There are currently 21 million suffering from drug addiction. And 46% of Americans know someone who is or has been addicted to drugs. • I learned at a young age just how devastating this disease could be. Addiction is no stranger to my family. It affected a lot of my childhood and has taken the lives of some of my loved ones. My first year as a nurse on a cardiac unit I watched the disease steal the last breaths of its victims. I would create relationships with these patients and walk in the next morning to find out they passed. And if the disease doesn’t steal a life, I have watched it firsthand destroy everything in it. • Tomorrow I am starting a new chapter in my career as an RN at an addiction clinic. I will be serving those suffering from opioid addiction. I often get asked why I am choosing this path and working with this population. You could say this disease has left a pretty negative mark on my life. But after years of reflection and prayer, it ignited a positive desire inside of me. A desire to forgive. A desire to understand it’s not the person, it’s the disease. A desire to help others. And a desire to teach my daughter the power of selflessness. The feeling you get knowing you might have helped at least one person or saved a life. This might not be the most luxurious job or where I land forever in this career, but I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my nursing journey and to help those suffering from this disease along the way ❤️ #registerednurse #nursemom
Girls vs dad (we always win 😉) • • So thankful for the best dad and hubby ever, especially today. I’m suffering from the worst stomach bug and he thankfully stayed home from work to wait on me hand and foot and take care of the babe while I recover 🙏🏻🥰 Hopefully mom life will resume tomorrow!
I dread the day you no longer fit in the kitchen sink. The day you stop squealing and giggling with excitement as I carry your bare bum to the water. The day when I blow bubbles in your face and it’s not the most hilarious thing in the world. And the day when these joyful, midday baths are just a distant memory. Stay little forever please 💕 • • If anyone’s interested in how to make the hanging plants click the link in my bio 😊🌿
9 months in ➡️ 9 months out • • Can’t believe this nugget is 9 months!! It feels like yesterday I was pregnant with her. Sharing some of my postpartum struggles on the blog today with some helpful tips that no one told me about 😊 link in bio
