Hey guys! My name is Lauren. I am a new wife, new mom, new nurse, new North Carolinian and a long-time dreamer.
All of this newness in my life inspired the title “A Whole New World”, because it really is a new world for me.
And let me tell you, this new mom thing is not for the weak. I know I need all the help I can get. Do you ever feel that way too? This blog was created to share my journey into new mama-hood in the hopes of providing helpful tips, tricks and hacks to make life just a little bit easier for other moms.
There is no secret sauce to motherhood. It’s basically just trial and error until you find what works for you and your family! I want this space to be helpful, encouraging and inspiring. Not filled with judgement and mom-shaming. Because lets be honest, we are all too busy to have time for that.
My creative passion for writing, photography and design will shine through every blog post you read. While mama-hood is the main subject, you will also find bits of DIY projects, yummy recipes, health, marriage, travel and fashion sprinkled in.
More of our story:
The story of this Pisces girl and Capricorn boy has been written for the last 10 years and counting. My husband and I met in high school in our hometown in Maryland and were good friends up until college when we started dating. We got engaged during my last year of nursing school and then married a month after I graduated. Yes, I did plan a DIY wedding during my hardest year of school. Yikes! But it was worth it.
After the wedding we moved to Tennessee and welcomed our first baby girl in May 2018. We are now living in the Triad of North Carolina where I work part-time as a nurse and my husband works as an engineer.
More about me:
My loves are anything creative including writing, cooking and photography. I also enjoy reading, drinking a warm cup of coffee in the morning and an iced coffee in the afternoon, raiding the Target dollar spot and capturing everyday moments of my family. My husband and I are huge outdoors fans and enjoy hiking, exploring and taking out our kayaks.
Life is messy, beautiful and full of adventure. I would love to have you join me in my journey!
